About Your Private Spanish Teacher
Hola, me llamo Vanessa. Soy tu maestra de español.
Hi, my name is Vanessa, and I am your Private Spanish Teacher. I am originally from Peru and have been passionate about languages since I was a six-years-old. I embraced English at a young age, and, after many years of studying, became an English instructor in Peru in 2000.
After graduating college, I moved to America in 2005, and my passion for languages led me to a position as a Spanish Teacher at Berlitz Language School, located in Charleston, South Carolina. I discovered a unique joy in teaching my own language and worked to refine and improve my skills to better serve my students.
In 2009, I started tutoring students on my own before I realized the great need for dedicated Spanish instructors. Many people do not just want to learn the language; they need to because of a current job, a career opportunity, or a desire to travel to Spanish-speaking countries.
Since I started Private Spanish Teacher, I have taught numerous students, ranging in age from twelve to seventy-five (yes, you can still learn a language at that age). Almost twenty years as an instructor has not diminished my excitement for teaching and the pride I feel when my students are able to hold an entire conversation in Spanish.
